Platform-funded referrals
When enabled and an eligible referral relationship exists, new referred product purchases fund the reward from platform product commission. The reward is not a percentage of buyer gross, buyer fees, tax or paid support.
Example
A $100 base with 15% platform commission creates $15 commission. A 20% referral reward on that commission is $3. Seller earning remains $85 before applicable author tax; the platform retains $12 before processor expense and other costs. The reward cannot exceed the frozen product commission funding it.
Settlement and reversals
Unpaid attempts do not earn rewards. The reward records its originating transaction, sale and referral so duplicate settlement does not pay it twice. A refund request does not itself reverse a reward. Any eventual reversal must use the original recorded allocation and the authorized financial workflow; this article does not promise an automated refund capability.
See the current Fees & Pricing schedule for live rates and the effective date. The examples below illustrate the formula, not a guarantee that a particular rate applies to every seller. Completed purchases keep their frozen economic evidence.
